"I know a couple looking for a small dog to adopt. This shelter has a dachshund that would be perfect for them. They don't answer the phone and didn't answer my email either. I feel so bad for the pets at this shelter. How can they find homes when no one cares enough to talk to potential adopters."
"I've contacted this shelter twice, once by email and once by phone, in reference to a pit bull they have at the shelter because I do not live close. They had two different dogs photo'd under the same name and description. I emailed them looking for clarification on which dog was the accurate photo/description. They did not respond so I left them a voicemail two days later with all of my information. They still have not responded, but did change the photo on both sites to match one dog. They do not seem very proactive on assisting dogs in finding homes, especially pit bulls which are generally a breed difficult to adopt out anyway."
"After an awful experience at a shelter in Anaconda, we drove to this shelter on a whim and found a lovely pup we ended up adopting. Inside and outside looked a bit run down (as is the case with many county shelters so I won't hold it against them) but the staff was super nice and knew each dog very well. We applied and they said they needed a few days for her spay scar to heal up and test her with a few things, but they updated us as soon as she was cleared. When we went to pick her up they went over all the paperwork in detail, microchipped her, and even gave us a Christmas collar and leash."
