Verified Family Reviews for Northern Virginia Burial & Cremation Society
"I had a very good experience with the Cremation Society. The employees were very friendly and professional. Everyone I met at the entrance always smiled and were very helpful directing me to the person(s) who I came to see. The staff members who I worked with directly were also friendly, helpful, and very attentive to all the details of the client's wishes, interest, needs, and business. When the Death Certificate needed to be amended, they were very helpful and the return processing time was expedient. I was very satisfied with their professionalism"
"DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! This is easily one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. My father-in-law died on Sunday and it has been a one way game of phone tag ever since. After giving tons of information over the phone I was told that we would be sent paperwork within an hour via email. The paperwork never came. When I called back I was told it would be another 30 minutes. Still nothing. When I called back a few hours later I was directed to an answering service who told me they were closed. This morning I called and was told they would call me back in 15 minutes. That was over an hour ago. You would think that a company offering cremation and burial services to a family would understand that communication is key in a time of grief. This group has been atrocious. Avoid the added stress and go with a company that knows what they are doing."
"My experience with the Northern Virginia Burial & Cremation Society was all I could have hoped for. Ashton was very compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and transparent throughout the process. She went to great lengths to sort out getting a physician to sign the death certificate for my dear departed loved one (their primary doctor was located in DC, and the hospice they were in claimed to have never treated the patient in spite of prescribing morphine ::eyeroll::). The men who came to pick up the body were also very kind. During such a difficult time, the Society provided much solace. I would definitely recommend this place."
