Plumas Veterinary Services

"Wow, what a Pathetic veterinary clinic (if I could I give it ZERO stars) no empathy no compassion whatsoever. Aren’t animal hospitals and veterinarians supposed to care about ALL animals. I found a sick baby kitten in need of medical help ASAP. I live in the area and thought this would be the fastest way to get this baby help. Nope, not taking new clients, explained I wouldn’t be coming back and it be a one time thing, I just need to get this poor baby help, that I’ll pay for. They didn’t care, their only help was to send me some place else and this coming from the so called caring vet! Because the office personnel put me on hold to go ask. How sad this is how they act and treat an animal in need, in the very profession they chose to do. Seems they pick and choose what animals THEY FEEL LIKE TAKING CARE of no matter how sick an animal is.. if you need help with a sick pet fast, forget this uncaring, Un compassionate veterinary clinic. The veterinarian don’t care! Even if they took new clients again, I’d never take my pets here. Disgusting is the only word I’ll use for this clinic!"

"Dr. Schaefer is the most caring vet I have had the privilege of knowing. I still go to him even though I now live close to an hour away, one way. I don't ever want to go anyplace else. He's just the best & he gets you in fast if necessary."

"Plumas Vet. Service is caring and compassionate.. My Cat Tammy girl that Dr. Schafer has taken care of in the past just passed over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. 15 seconds after the injection she was asleep and pain free - 45 seconds later passed on with me scratching her head. …"
